Tasting note
It stands out for medium-intensity fruitiness in which green and ripe nuances appear at their optimum and with similar intensity. They recall fruits such as tomato, and almond.
On the palate the entry is sweet, with delicate, light bitterness, and a touch of pungency arrives at the end. Bitterness and pungency stay in perfect balance and total harmony, neither standing out over the other.
A Jaén classic
Casa del Agua is made in Villanueva de la Reina, at the foot of Sierra Morena, from Picual olives. It belongs to the Oro Bailén family of oils, a Jaén house that works with its own family groves.
It is an everyday oil: the one reached for in a sofrito, a spoon stew or a Sunday fry-up, without giving up the quality of an extra virgin.
Traditional cooking
- Meat and pulse stews.
- Sautéed vegetables.
- Fried fish and potatoes.
- Toast with tomato at breakfast.
Its stability makes it especially suited to the frying pan, and its mildness lets it shine raw too.
250 ml bottle
A compact format that fits any kitchen, ideal for getting to know the oil before moving to larger jugs or as a cooking oil in small households. It is used up quickly and stays fresh to the end.
It is best kept tightly closed, away from light and heat.
