The early Picual from Los Badenes
Aires de Jaén is a family business from Jabalquinto with more than half a century in olive oil. Its Los Badenes estate stretches along the Guadalquivir and combines traditional groves with modern plantings of Picual, Arbequina, Frantoio and Empeltre.
The mill stands right there, so the olives arrive freshly picked and the family watches over the whole journey, from tree to bottle. With that care, Finca Badenes Picual is made from the house’s own fruit.
Where Finca Badenes Picual shines
- Toast with tomato, where its green fruit shows at once.
- Salmorejo, with a generous pour at the table.
- Chargrilled meats, to dress or finish the dish.
- Pulses, with a thread of oil at the last moment.
- Aged cheeses, which can stand up to its intensity.
