Terraverne 555 Three-variety selection, 3 × 100 ml

Terraverne 555 selection in three 100 ml tins: sweet-entry Arbequina, intense Picual and herbaceous, peppery Hojiblanca, all early harvest from Teba (Málaga). A miniature tasting, easy to carry and to give.

The Terraverne 555 selection in 100 ml tins is the smallest tasting in the range: three little tins holding this Teba mill’s three early-harvest single varieties (Málaga).

A pocket-sized format for discovering Arbequina, Picual and Hojiblanca without committing to large bottles.

A pocket-sized tasting

The selection brings together a sweet-entry Arbequina, an intense Picual of green leaf and tomato, and a herbaceous, peppery Hojiblanca. Each tin holds a different single variety, so they can be compared one after another.

Ideally, start with the Arbequina, move on to the Hojiblanca and finish with the Picual, with a little white bread and water between tastings. With 100 ml of each there is enough for several tastings and a few simple dishes.

The 555 range, in miniature

Terraverne’s 555 range makes each variety separately in Teba, a village in northern Málaga between the mountains and the Antequera plain. The tins protect the oil completely from light.

This mini format is the gateway to the range: it helps decide which variety is the favourite before choosing a larger size.

In the kitchen

  • A tasting with bread and salt.
  • Arbequina: white fish.
  • Hojiblanca: gazpacho.
  • Picual: toast with tomato.

The small tins fit in any bag, perfect for a gourmet picnic or a trip.

For a fuller tasting, simply serve each oil in a small dish with pieces of white bread and compare colour, aroma and flavour, from the gentlest to the boldest, noting which one each guest prefers and why.

Three 100 ml tins

The 100 ml tins are light, sturdy and opaque: the oil never sees light until opened. They make an original favour for weddings, events or gift hampers.

Once opened, they are best used within the following weeks and kept in a cool place.
