Aires Arbequina Picual, blend 2 L, pack of 6 × 2 L

Aires Arbequina Picual is the blend from Aires de Jaén that joins the fruity delicacy of Arbequina with the strength of Picual on the palate. With a very young green-leaf, artichoke and tomato-plant fruitiness, it is packed in 2 L containers with handle and comes in a pack of 6, twelve litres for everyday cooking.

Aires Arbequina Picual is the story of two olive varieties that complete each other: Arbequina, fruity and delicate, which brings a silky feel, and Picual, which gives strength on the palate. Together they make a very balanced extra virgin olive oil full of nuances.

Aires de Jaén packs it in a 2-litre container with a handle, a format you can grip with one hand and pour effortlessly over the pan or into the cruet.

This pack brings together six containers: twelve litres of Aires Arbequina Picual for pantries that go through a lot of oil and kitchens where the pan never rests.

How Aires Arbequina Picual shows in the glass

Nose

A very young green-leaf fruitiness, with artichoke, tomato, tomato plant, green apple and banana peel.

Palate

A velvety juice, very balanced, where the soft nuances of Arbequina round off the Picual.

Finish

Persistent on the palate, with the strength of Picual holding up the nuances of Arbequina.

Two varieties from Los Badenes

Aires de Jaén is a family business from Jabalquinto with more than half a century in olive oil. Its Los Badenes estate stretches along the Guadalquivir and combines traditional groves with modern plantings of Picual, Arbequina, Frantoio and Empeltre.

The mill stands on the estate itself, so the olives reach it freshly picked and the family controls the whole path, from tree to bottling. Aires Arbequina Picual comes from that union of Picual and Arbequina.

Where Aires Arbequina Picual stands out

  • Crispy fried fish, vegetables and potatoes.
  • Sofrito bases for rice, stews and sauces.
  • Mild sauces for pasta and meat.
  • Everyday salads, used raw.
  • Toast and bread, with a generous pour.

Six 2-litre containers with handle

Aires Arbequina Picual, pack of 6 × 2 L

Six 2 L containers add up to twelve litres. It is a pantry format that saves trips and packaging: one container in use, the others closed. Aires de Jaén sells this oil in packs, and that is how you get it here, complete.

The handle makes daily use easier. Store the containers at room temperature, not above 25 ºC and away from direct light, and refill a small cruet to keep by the stove.
