A case of three two-litre containers
The format contains three 2 L containers of the same Picual reference, giving six litres of oil in total. The price is for the complete case, rather than a single container. The main photograph shows one real two-litre container; the quantity supplied is the quantity stated in the product name and format selector.
Three separate units make it possible to keep one container open while the others remain closed until needed. The side handle helps with handling the container. When comparing this presentation with other sizes, both the total case volume and the price per litre matter: the individual two-litre capacity is not the volume of the complete order.
Serving its grassy profile
Picual accompanies ripe tomatoes, grilled vegetables and toast where the oil plays a prominent role. It also suits pulse salads, roasted potatoes and grilled meats. A dressing made with a small number of ingredients lets its aromatic character come through without combining it with strongly flavoured sauces.
Its fruitiness and balance of bitterness and pepperiness offer a different choice from the gentler profiles of other olive varieties. The recipe and the preferences of the people at the table guide that choice. These tasting notes describe the character of the reference; they are not a chemical analysis of the individual batch supplied.
Contents and storage
Does it contain other varieties? No: all three containers hold Picual. Is this a mixed case? No: this format is different from the brand’s tasting assortment. Is the stated price a price per litre? No: it is the pack price; the separate price per litre helps with comparisons.
After use, close the container and store it away from light and sources of heat. Batch identification and the best-before date appear on each container. The stated volume relates only to the oil, rather than to the protective packaging used for transport. Keeping the unopened containers closed allows the case to be used progressively without opening every unit at once.
