Monteoliva Oro DOP Baena, 500 ml bottle

Monteoliva, the Cabra cooperative since 1949

A small group of farmers from Cabra joined forces in 1949, convinced they would go further together. Today they are over a thousand families in the Córdoba Subbética, and that old Junquillo mill has become one of the engines of their town.

Traditional varieties such as Pajarero, Hojiblanco, Picudo and Carrasqueño, tended by those who inherited them, give oils that now travel to competitions and tables around the world.

The oil

Monteoliva Oro PDO Baena: a natural blend of local varieties made in November, as the fruit turns from green to violet. Green fruitiness of medium intensity, slight bitterness and medium pepperiness, with olive leaf and green almond.
