Two faces of Jaén
The Picual Reserva Familiar shows an intense, complex green fruitiness, with clear aromas of tomato, apple, freshly cut grass, green banana and green almond. Its entry is sweet and leaves a feeling of greenness and freshness, with a very pleasant balance between bitterness and pepperiness.
The Arbequina is its counterpoint: medium fruitiness of fresh olive, with herbs and green wheat, almond, apple and ripe banana. Together they show, in two sips, the diversity of Jaén's oils.
A family oil with international awards
Oro Bailén belongs to Galgón 99, a family company in Bailén that since 2005 has made, bottled and sold extra virgin olive oil from the olives of its own groves.
Its oils have been recognised by the International Olive Council, the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, NYIOOC, Olive Japan and Jaén Selección, and in the 2019/2020 season the Evooleum guide named it the best olive oil in the world.
