Tasting O-Med Picual Limited
On the nose a green fruitiness of herbs and fruit stands out: tomato leaf, green almond, freshly cut grass and aromatic herbs, with the clarity of a very early olive.
On the palate its persistence of artichoke, olive leaf and nuts is clear, with an intense taste of green walnut. A very balanced Picual, less harsh than those from other areas and highly complex. Each sip reveals a new nuance, from green herbs at the start to nuts at the end.
Ácula, on the Granada plain
O-Med makes its oils in Ácula, a Granada village where the family has worked the olive grove for four generations. A few years ago, drawing on its experience in the field, it set up a modern mill to make very early-harvest oils.
Today its extra virgin oils are exported to more than thirty countries, and every bottle is kept away from light and heat until shipping, so the oil arrives intact at any table.
