A family of olive growers from Jaén

Aceites Padilla makes extra virgin olive oil in Jaén from its own family groves. Alongside Picual, the province’s leading variety, the family has planted Italian varieties rarely seen in Spain, such as Taggiasca and Carlesca, to offer different profiles with the same care at harvest and in cold extraction.

The oil

Padilla 1808 is the house’s everyday extra virgin olive oil: healthy Picual olives picked in November and December and processed solely by mechanical means. On the nose it shows medium ripe-olive fruitiness with light notes of tomato and artichoke. On the palate it is smooth and sweet, with light, very balanced bitterness and pepperiness.
