A family of olive growers from Jaén

Aceites Padilla makes extra virgin olive oil in Jaén from its own family groves. Alongside Picual, the province’s leading variety, the family has planted Italian varieties rarely seen in Spain, such as Taggiasca and Carlesca, to offer different profiles with the same care at harvest and in cold extraction.

The oil

Padilla 1808 Selección is the finest selection of Picual olives from Jaén: a gourmet extra virgin olive oil, cold-extracted at no more than 27 ºC from olives picked in November at their ideal ripeness. On the nose it offers medium green-olive fruitiness with light notes of tomato and artichoke. On the palate it is smooth, with light, very balanced bitterness and pepperiness.
