Zafra, in southern Badajoz

Baeturia takes its name from the ancient region the Romans placed in the south of today's province of Badajoz, a land of dehesas, holm oaks and old olive groves. From there the house makes extra virgin olive oils from varieties typical of Extremadura, such as Morisca, Carrasqueña or Manzanilla Cacereña.

The oil is extracted cold, at 22 ºC, on the same day the olives are picked, to keep the freshness of the fruit in the bottle. It is what fills every Baeturia Alcuza Aceitunero.

What to dress with the Baeturia Alcuza Aceitunero

  • Toast with a thread of oil as it is served.
  • Tomatoes and salads, at the table.
  • Grilled or roasted vegetables.
  • Pulses and stews, to finish the dish.
  • Grilled fish, with a little raw oil on top.

A 500 ml alcuza: use and care

Baeturia Alcuza Aceitunero cruet, 500 ml

It is served straight from the alcuza: the spout doses a fine thread over salads, toast or finished dishes. When it is empty, refill it with your usual oil.

Keep the Baeturia Alcuza Aceitunero away from the hob and direct light so the oil stays in good condition, and rinse it now and then with lukewarm water before filling it again.
